Our Mission

Dr. Jason Aldred specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Ataxia. Selkirk Neurology is dedicated to expanding its comprehensive care team and actively participating in studies aimed at exploring advanced treatments for Ataxia. Our commitment to enhancing patient care drives us to continually seek new and effective therapies.

Ataxia is a degenerative disease of the nervous system, which has symptoms that vary by person and type of Ataxia. Symptoms can include slurred speech, stumbling, falling, and incoordination, which result from damage to the cerebellum, which is responsible for movement coordination. While there is no cure for Ataxia, there are a variety of medications and therapies that address symptoms and improve quality of life.
